The Aladdin meal plan operates as a declining balance. Students, faculty, and staff deposit funds to their account which are then used for spending at the dining commons. Account balance can be checked and refilled online, with bonus dollars added at certain increments.
Students, faculty, and staff all receive bonus dining dollars depending on the amount deposited. The bonus amounts are as follows:
- $100: $10 extra
- $150: $15 extra
- $500: $75 extra
- $1,000: $170 extra
Students using their meal plan at the dining commons receive tax-free spending. Faculty and staff do not incur tax-free spending.

Account balances, transaction history, and account activity can be found at the CUNY Dining Portal, found at https://aladdinatcuny.com/cuny.
Students using their meal plan at the dining commons receive tax-free spending. Faculty and staff do not incur tax-free spending.
Dining dollars automatically expire after 1 year of inactivity. As long as you are using your meal plan, there is no expiration date.
